I’m Teigan, a trained natural chef, recipe developer and blogger. I create versatile vegan recipes, vibrant in colour, flavour and nutrition. 

I believe in reconnecting back to nature to receive the healing powers of plants that have the natural ability to feed our mind, body and soul.

Here you’ll find a variety of recipes that are nourishing, taste delicious & focus on seasonal, whole food and organic ingredients.


 

MY STORY

I believe food is more than just fuel - not only does it provide our body with sustenance but it also feeds our soul by bringing healing, pleasure, joy, love, connection and community.


WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

My love for food and passion for cooking has been with me ever since I was a child. Although, if you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would NEVER have said a chef.

I didn’t want to be in a busy, stressful, high-pressure, restaurant kitchen - I knew that my sensitive soul would not be able to cope or last long in that environment. So, instead I decided to focus on a career path in art and design.

WHAT CHANGED?

During my mid-late teens my health started to decline and I was diagnosed with post-viral Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), also known as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME). I was bed bound for around 9 months and was desperate for help, guidance and to be and feel like myself again.

 
 

NATURE HEALS

I feel I was failed by traditional Western medicine multiple times but truly saved by naturopathic medicine, nutrition and holistic therapies. I developed allergies, intolerances, sensitivities, gut issues and a whole host of other problems and symptoms that can come along with CFS, which caused me to seek advice and support from a naturopathic nutritionist and to re-evaluate my diet and lifestyle. I learnt so much about nutrition and the power that fresh, natural, minimally processed foods provide and how to cook without gluten, dairy, refined sugars and with a whole food approach. As a consequence, I was influenced to become even more creative in the kitchen by researching and experimenting how to make free-from food taste and look ah-mazing!


 
 
 
 

PLANT POWER

By having benefited SO much from plant-powered nutrition, I was inspired to expand my self-taught home cooking skills and train as a chef as I learnt that there are abundant opportunities to share my passion for food and not solely from a kitchen restaurant.

I think that having first-hand experience of what a difference eating vegan, fresh, whole foods and having a holistic approach to life has made to my CFS as well as how I look and feel.

My general health improved so much, it’s inevitable that I grew a passion for it…and that passion turned into my career.

Since I wish to help other people in similar situations to me or those that simply want to live a happier and healthier life, I am particularly focused on food high in nutritional value that promotes and enhances health - cooking with ingredients that support health conditions and overall wellbeing by creating balance within the body.


MY EVOLVING VENTURE

For the past 8 years I have been on a journey learning how to heal and bring harmony to my mind, body and soul. As a natural chef, recipe developer and blogger, my intention is to share with you what I have learnt from my experience but also what I am continuing to learn, as for me, this is a lifelong journey to optimum health. I hope that sharing my story of how plant-fuelled nutrition and holistic healing changed my life, can also change yours too.
